Music:
Since the beginning of the year I have been getting into what is usually described as indie rock. Some bands that I listent
to now are 13 & God, Aqueduct, Audioslave, Baumer, Bloc Party, Cake, Clearlake, Clor, Convoj, Dungen, El Presidente, Explosions
in the Sky, Gorillaz, Hail Social, Ian Brown, Ima Robot, Interpol, Kasabian, Logh, Lovedrug, Negative, Radiohead. South, Spoon,
Stellastarr, The Bravery, The Faunts, The Most Serene Republic, and The Waking Eyes. So that's about all I have to say about
music.
Movies:
I love movies. They are what I look forward to on Fridays and on the weekends. I also happen to be a very easy movie critic,
I'll usually like any movie that I go and see. I usually like Action movies, like The Italian Job or The Matrix. Comedies
are good too, although not my favorite. Scary movies are fun to go see also. My favorite movies are The Italian Job, Monty
Python and The Holy Grail, Airplane, The Lord of the Rings, Shaun of the Dead, The Sting, Southpark, The Rock, Ace Ventura
Pet Detective, and Equilibrium.
Television:
Some of the best accomplishments in American TV didn't even have actors, that's right, they're animated. The Simpsons,
Southpark, and Family Guy are clearly and without doubt the best animated shows on Earth. If you haven't had the privilege
to watch these great shows, go out of your way to watch some episodes, you won't be disapointed. Since the beginning of the
last school-year I have been attending weekly anime club meetings. Basically we spend lunch and the following study hall watching
difference anime shows. They are always very entertaining. Recently I brought in a copy of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.
It is amazing. The detail and quality of the film is ground-breaking. Some of my favorite anime shows are Neon Genesis:Evangelion,
Samurai Champloo, Hellsing, Full Metal Alchemist, and FLCL. Some other good shows on TV these days are 24, Battlestar Gallactica,
Trigger Happy TV, and Most Extreme Elimination Challenge(MXC).
Places:
I have been to a lot of places, mostly around the east and west coasts of the United States, and Europe. I am fortunate
enough to have an apartment in Marbella, Spain. It is on the southern coast of Spain and is part of a community of houses
which share pools and hot tubs. The food is amazing there, if you're not looking for burgers. I do recommend the Argentinean
grills. Entrana steak is to die for. Good stuff. I've also been to some other cities in Spain as side-trips including Madrid,
Sevilla, Granada, and Cordaba. I recently had the opportunity to visit Venice which was great. I didn't see one car the whole
time! The place that closest resembles Venice, that I've been to, has to be Georgetown in DC. I went to Morocco one time,
a lot different than other places. There are a ton of markets. I did go to Paris one spring break, yes, it was amazing. Paris
also had unbelievable food; the steak is to die for. The pizza is interesting to say the least. They like very thin crust
and there is one topping which I have never seen before. You can order a sunny-side up egg to be put right in the middle of
your pizza. It was actually pretty good; weird, but good. I went to London and Stratford upon Avon in England which was fun.
One was for pleasure (London), and the other to attend a friends wedding (Stratford upon Avon). Did you know that Shakespeare
also lived in Stratford upon Avon? Well if you didn't now you do. The Fish and Chips are the best. They really can't be duplicated
correctly anywhere else. I've been to a couple cities in California. My Aunt lives in Garden Grove and I've been to San Francisco
which was cool. Why don't we have cable cars anymore? Florida was nice to go to; it's usually very humid which isn't all that
good. On the East Coast, the Outer Banx is fun place to go, Wave Runners are amazing, and the seafood is always good, crabs
especially. Pennsylvania is boring, went there once for a field trip. And Baltimore is kind of dank and dull. Places like
Bethesda, Friendship Heights, and Tenleytown are cool to go to. DC rocks, because I live there and just because it's an amazing
city. One of the best subway systems in the world resides in DC. So that's about it for this section.
